Why can’t I select text after compressing?
Balanced and Smallest file redraw each page as a compressed image. That gives the biggest savings for scans and photos but removes selectable text. Choose Light to keep text.
Why did my file not get smaller?
PDFs made mostly of text are often already compact. If compressing would make the file bigger, you get your original back unchanged.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
