Why it’s private
Most online PDF tools send your document to their servers to process it. UserPDF works differently: the page you load contains everything needed to edit PDFs, and your browser does the work. Contracts, bank statements and medical forms stay on your computer or phone.
You can check this yourself. Once a tool page has loaded, turn off your Wi-Fi and it keeps working.

Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. UserPDF runs entirely in your web browser. Your files are read and processed on your own device and are never sent to us or anyone else. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tools keep working.
Is it free?
Yes. UserPDF is free to use with no sign-up and no watermark on your files. It’s supported by ads.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. UserPDF works in any modern browser on iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows, Linux and Chromebook. Very large files may be slow on older phones.
